The affected workers received a total of P331,936.00 with one worker receiving as much as P199,611.30.

According to Ms. Ma. Cecilia S. Acebuque, Head of Capiz Field Office, the workers were forced to file a complaint and request for DOLE’s assistance because the construction company has failed to release their 10% labor retention bond which should have been released three (3) years ago.

Mr. Wilfredo A. Santizo, the Single Entry Approach Desk Officer who handled the case shared that the workers were grateful for the fast and efficient resolution of their concern. The request for assistance filed last January 11, 2019 was resolved in less than 30 days under the Single Entry Approach (SEnA).

SEnA is an administrative approach which provides a speedy, impartial, inexpensive and accessible settlement procedure for all issues/complaints arising from employer-employee relations to prevent them from ripening into full blown disputes.
