A capacity building activity on Labor Relations organized by Regional Director Atty. Sixto T. Rodriguez, Jr. was held for Field Office Heads and LR focals from the different field offices in preparation for the delivery of services for the coming year.
Among the topics for the two-day activity were the orientation on the use of the Online Union Registration System (OURS), Union Finance Administration, Union Accounts Examination, processing of Workers Organization Development Programs and Scholarship, Freedom of Association and Collective Bargaining: Law and Practices and the Roles of an Election Officer.
Newly-promoted Mediator-Arbiter Atty. Divine Grace B. Gabunas and Senior Labor and Employment Officer Atty. Niezel Anen T. Sabrido conduct the training to capacitate the participants for a more effective delivery of services on labor relations.
RD Rodriguez shared his knowledge and expertise in labor relations. He discussed thoroughly with the focals the workers’ right to self-organization and the importance of legitimate labor unions in the promotion of their rights and welfare.
